Employment Pass
Eligibility:
You are eligible to apply for the employment pass if you will be earning a fixed monthly salary of more than S$2,800 and possess recognised qualifications (Diploma or Degree) from a reputable educational institution.
Pass Information:
There are 3 types of Employment Passes (P1, P2 and Q1) available for your entrance into the Singapore workfore. The table below illustrates the types of passes based on their respective qualifying criteria:

The validity of the employment pass is up to a maximum of 2 years for first time application. However, first-timers are usually granted 1 year validity period for their employment pass based on our experience.
Employment Pass holders are eligible to apply for Dependant’s Passes for their spouse and unmarried children below the age of 21. P Pass holders are also eligible to apply for Long Term Visit Passes for their unmarried daughters above the age of 21, handicapped children, step-children, parents and parents in law.
Processing Time:
The application of an employment pass can be approved within 8 weeks. The actual processing time varies from days to a maximum of 8 weeks if there are no additional queries from the Ministry of Manpower (MOM). Processing time may be lengthened if the MOM requires further supporting documents during the review process.

Eligibility:
You are eligible to apply for the S Pass if you will be earning a monthly fixed salary of more than S$2,000 and satisfy the points system criteria which takes into account the following criteria:
For employers, successful employment of new S Pass employees is subjected to a sub-quota, or dependency ceiling, of 25% (revised to 20% effective 1 July 2012) of the company’s total workforce (sum of local workforce) being met.

Personalised Employment Pass (PEP)
Eligibility:
For Foreigners currently residing overseas
For Overseas foreign professional whose last drawn overseas fixed monthly salary was at least S$8,000 – The last drawn fixed monthly salary overseas should be no more than six months from the time of the application.
For Former P1 Pass holders who are living overseas – Former P1 Pass holders should not be unemployed for longer than a continuous period of six months at the point of application.
For existing Employment Pass holders
P1 Pass holders – P1 Pass holders will be accorded in-principle approval for the PEP upon application.
P2 Pass holders – Possess a minimum of 2 years of working experience on a P Pass and have earned a fixed salary of at least S$34,000 in the preceding year.
Q1 Pass holders – Possess a minimum of 5 years of working experience on a Q1 pass and have earned a fixed salary of at least S$34,000 in the preceding year.
Foreign graduates from institutions of higher learning in Singapore – Possess a minimum of 2 years of working experience on a P or Q1 Pass and have earned a fixed salary of at least S$34,000 in the preceding year.
Pass Information:
The PEP pass is not tied to any specific employer.
A PEP pass holder
The PEP pass is a non-renewable pass which is valid for 5 years.
